WHAT: The Guaranteed Dolphin Watch is our most popular tour from June to October. This two hour cruise is ideal for all ages. You will hear a factual narration on the Bottlenose Dolphin. Dolphin mating and birthing observed on many cruises. See the most respected aquatic mammal in it's natural habitat. Breathtaking views are all around you on this tour. Our large viewing areas offer everyone a good spot. Each vessel is covered for sun protection with a restroom on board and Coast Guard inspected. Our crews are usually native to the Outer Banks. They love to answer questions and show off the local area to all of our visitors.  WHAT: The Sunset Dolphin Watch. In 2010 this was our most
requested tour. A combination dolphin watch and sunset cruise. Find the dolphin
and then see the sun set on the water over Albemarle Sound. The Tour will depart
about two hours prior to published sunset times (varies every week) You will be
given a departure schedule when you reserve tickets. Tickets are only sold the
week of the tour. Reservations preferred (this tour sells out early). Five times a
week Monday thru Friday weather permitting unless a private tour has been scheduled.

• Pelican Island Cruise Bird Watch departs from Wanchese Harbor. You will see commercial fishermen and womenworking inPamlico sound, the Bodie Island Lighthouse from the soundside, Duck Island hunting lodge, built around 1920, several Osprey (fish hawk) nests, probably a dolphin or two, Pelican Island, home to over 4,000 birds of several varieties, and much more. Available as private charter.
• Shrimping-Crabbing Cruise · We pull a small commercial type
shrimp netbehind the boat and passengers get to sort the catch
and examine the fish,
shrimp, crabs, etc., than is harvested.

all the fish shrimp and crabs of
legal size to take home. A fantastic hands-on
experience for everyone.

• The Private Sunset Sound Safari Sightseeing Cruise Enjoy protected waters of the Outer Banks with a 9th generation native. Hear native lore and learn some of the fascinating history about this unique corner of the world. (Available April-December by charter). Price is based on location and duration of trip.

WHERE: - We are 10 minutes from Nags Head beaches. Follow road signs to Manteo. Turn on Budleigh St. (next light after ACE Hardware and PIZZA HUT COLONY TIRE on corner) and go to end. Our dock is located at the end of Budleigh St. on the Manteo Waterfront Boardwalk near the new Lighthouse. More details here.
GROUPS: School groups, business groups, families and friends are welcome to enjoy the sights of The Outer Banks aboard the "Captain Johnny". One teacher stated that she thought the children learned more about nature on our two hour cruise than they do during a week of school... AND we do not give exams.
